Accessibility

Shekho's Shawarma is committed to serving every customer with dignity and independence, and to meeting our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

1. Our commitment

We aim to identify and remove barriers to our food, our restaurant, and our online ordering site. We train our team to serve people with disabilities, including people who use assistive devices, service animals, or a support person.

2. Service animals and support persons

Service animals are welcome in our customer areas. A support person may accompany you at no additional charge.

3. This website

We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA on our public pages, including keyboard navigation, visible focus, readable text sizes, and text alternatives for meaningful images. Some older content and third-party components (such as the Square card-payment field) may not yet fully meet that standard.

4. Accessible formats

On request, we will provide our menu, prices, and these policies in an accessible format or with communication supports, at no extra cost, as soon as practicable. Ask in person, call (807) 345-4522, or email shekho8@gmail.com.

5. Temporary disruptions

If a service that people with disabilities rely on is temporarily unavailable, we will post a notice at the restaurant at 17 St. Paul Street, Thunder Bay, ON and, where practical, on this site.

6. Feedback
